The Bedok HDB BTO Feb 2023 launch is likely to see strong interest from those who are eyeing a home in a mature estate. One reason: out of the other Feb 2024 BTO projects in mature estates, this stands the lowest chance of being classified under the Prime Location Public Housing (PLH) model.

Luckily for applicants, the Bedok HDB BTO Feb 2024 launch will be quite a big one, with a total of about 950 BTO flats being released across two sites. One will be on Upper Changi Road, the other on Bedok North Street 3.

The Bedok HDB BTO Feb 2024 New Upper Changi site will yield about 520 2-room Flexi and 4-room BTO flats, while the Bedok HDB BTO Feb 2024 Bedok North Street 3 site will consist of about 430 2-room Flexi, 4-room, and 5-room BTO flats.

Step on to applying for a BTO launch: secure your HDB Flat Eligibility (HFE) letter, an assessment of your HDB flat, CPF Housing Grant, and HDB loan eligibility.

How to do it: log onto the HDB Flat Portal via your Singpass, enter your eligibility criteria information, and request your HDB HFE letter. You will need to submit a valid HDB HFE letter alongside your BTO application.

They are about an 18-minute walk to the town centre and its key amenities, including Bedok Mall, Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre, Djitsun Mall Bedok, Heartbeat @ Bedok, and the Bedok Town Square. It is also right across the road from Bedok Stadium.

Families with kids will be able to choose from numerous schools located within walking distance, including Bedok Green Primary School and Temasek Junior College.

Bedok Reservoir is located within walking distance, and the Bedok Park Connector is located on the other side of the PIE, making it easy to cycle along the nearby Bedok Canal or to the reservoir.

BTO Application Process Updates

All BTO applicants will now need to apply for the HDB Flat Eligibility (HFE) letter before applying for their desired BTO project.If you’re thinking of applying for an upcoming BTO flat in the February BTO 2024 launch, you should have already applied for and received your valid HFE letter; while HDB will take up to 21 working days to process your application, they may face delays during peak periods (e.g. BTO launch weeks).Now, first-timer BTO applicants who reject their BTO ballots will also be considered second-timer applicants for one full year. During their second BTO application attempt, if they reject another BTO ballot, they won’t be able to apply for any BTO flats in the following year.Furthermore, the Family and Parenthood Priority Scheme (FPPS) has officially replaced the Parenthood Priority Scheme (PPS). This new HDB scheme includes a new applicant priority subset, the First-Timer (Parents and Married Couples) category, or FT(PMC). Up to 40% of BTO flats in each sales exercise will be reserved for eligible FT(PMC) applicants.Lastly, if you are an FT(PMC) who was unsuccessful for two or more tries (in a non-mature estate), you will receive one more chance per subsequent BTO application. This rule was introduced to help those unsuccessful in repeated balloting attempts.

Do note that from October 2023 onwards, first-timers who successfully ballot but do not select a flat will be considered second-timers for the following year. If they still don’t choose a flat on their second BTO application, further restrictions could be imposed. They would then be unable to apply for a BTO flat at all for a year.
