The Christmas Wonderland, marking its 10th year in 2023, unfolds over 27,000 square meters from the Supertree Grove to The Meadow. Visitors can experience “snow” against the backdrop of a 20-meter-tall light installation inspired by an Italian castle, and a 24-meter-long Holly Roger ship with pirate elves. Attractions like the Walk of Lights tunnel and a chance to meet Santa Claus in the Supertree Grove enhance the festive spirit.

Community and giving back

Emphasising the season’s spirit of giving, Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong highlighted the partnership with the Children’s Cancer Foundation. Young cancer survivors, who had previously assisted with the Christmas decorations, were special guests at the event. DPM Wong’s presence and his message underscored the importance of community involvement and support for those in need.

Educational and cultural enrichment

The Gardens have always been more than a tourist attraction, offering educational value, especially for young visitors. Mr. Er pointed out the importance of exposing children to nature and different cultures through the Gardens’ changing floral displays and themes.

A stage for local talent

Adding to the celebration, a series of free concerts featuring local artists like Charlie Lim and Benjamin Kheng, and groups like the Institute of Technical Education Show Choir and Danz People, will perform at the Silver Garden’s Supertrees. These events showcase Singapore’s vibrant artistic community.

Voices from the visitors

As visitors wander through the fair, their expressions of joy and amazement at the festive arrangements form a testament to the Gardens’ success in creating a memorable holiday experience.
