The Woodlands Beacon Dec 2023 BTO site is slightly further away from Woodlands MRT station but is closer to the Sports and Swimming Complex. It offers 399 units of 3-room and 4-room flats.

Meanwhile, the Urban Rise @ Woodlands Dec 2023 BTO site is closer to Woodlands MRT station. It offers 848 units of 2-room Flexi, 3-room, 4-room, and 5-room flats.

The best thing? These Woodlands HDB BTO Dec 2023 projects, which are adjacent to each other, are both just steps away from Woodlands MRT station and Causeway Point. Future residents will have access to both the North-South Line and TEL.

The sprawling Causeway Point has a wide variety of stores from big brands, and the big library ensures you will never run out of free books to read. For now, it looks like the field where the usual pasar malam events are held is untouched, but that may become a new BTO site in the future.

Based on the August 2022 BTO application rates for Woodlands South Plains, the overall application rate was 8.1 for 3-room flats and 11.7 for 4-room flats. We have a feeling it’s competition will be tough for this upcoming BTO launch, given the Woodlands Beacon and Urban Rise @ Woodlands HDB BTO Dec 2023 sites’ desirable location next to Woodlands MRT station.

It doesn’t hurt that it’s easy to get to Johor Bahru for a spot of weekend shopping and munching via a short bus ride. When the RTS is complete, it will be a quick train ride, just one stop to Woodlands North MRT station, to connect to the new rail link. Even now, taking the MRT to Orchard Road and to Shenton Way is much quicker with the Thomson-East Coast Line.

If you want a flat in the north, and you’re always going to JB on weekends, this is the BTO project for you. Families will enjoy the amenities here, and there are schools for their children of any age.

Those working in the CBD will need to factor in commuting time, but the train goes directly to Shenton Way and Orchard, so it’s still an easy ride and takes a shorter time as compared to pre-TEL days.

As mentioned earlier, competition might be high, given the past application rates for BTO units here. It’s really close to the MRT and also close to Johor Bahru. There are good amenities here and the price of flats will likely remain affordable, as it is still classified as a non-mature HDB estate.
