Comment on Is HDB’s Silver Housing Bonus scheme worth considering? by 99.co

In reply to Ho Mun. Hi Ho Mun, thanks for your comment. Yes, Singapore citizens are eligible to buy a second property while owning an HDB flat at the same time. However, the second property needs to be private property, and the HDB flat must have fulfilled its MOP. After downsizing your existing HDB, there’s a cash bonus incentive of up to S$30,000. Some people may choose to combine the bonus along with the profits from downsizing and buy a second property to generate rental income using their CPF-OA savings, after setting aside the BRS.

Comment on Public outcry over Orto leisure park and Kampung Kampus moving out of its site to make way for housing by Sam Abieze

What a shame? What is wrong with URA planning? They are taking away the little recreational spaces Singaporeans have. I wish to point out that they do not have common sense to convert Kallang Riverside to 4000 units of condominiums in a heritage land which can be promoted as Singapore "Effiel Tower" for tourism and recreational activities for Singaporeans. If they need to fill their coffer, convert the leasehold factories/commercial buildings opposite the Kallang Riverside Park to luxurious condo. You can imagine how much more $ the government can fill their coffer if condos are facing Singapore "Effiel Tower". A shame to earn millions but no brain. Sigh.
