SingJia: A trio of consultants with a wealth of knowledge in all real estate properties

A collective of experienced consultants with a heart to serve

SINGJIA might be a new collective in the real estate industry, but the founders Dave Lee, Kevin Li and Sherry Ang bring with them a wealth of knowledge as experienced consultants. The three first met by being in the same division, and immediately realised that they had the synergy to work together. Kevin met Dave in one of the project team and the pair hit it off very well with their shared love for working in the real estate industry. Eventually, the two met Sherry, who herself joined the industry in 2010 seeing a brighter professional future for herself as a real estate consultant. Fast forward to December 2020, and SINGJIA was born.

With their combined knowledge of the HDB property segment, resale, private, and new property launches, they are in a good position to understand how market sentiments work, and the challenges on the ground that clients may face as they make significant property decisions such as upgrading from a HDB property to a condominium. This is where SINGJIA can come in to help their clients overcome any hurdles along the way, ensuring that they attain their desired property within their timeline.

With such tremendous value-add to their services, they can now understand exactly what their clients want, and work hard to gain their trust. For them, building long-term relationships is important to their business. After all, as consultants, what brings joy to them is being able to help families to make purchases based on their needs. A happy family life also has wider societal impacts, and allows Singapore to be “home, truly”. “We aim to help our clients find the ‘jia’ they really want!” This carries through to SINGJIA’s striking logo. Inspired by the ubiquitous Singapore Merlion Head, with it, they created the logo to resemble ‘jia’, or the Chinese word for ‘home’.

The logo also carries a special meaning for Dave. As the son of parents who were hawkers, he has heard many people discussing about properties and has seen many of them gone through the hardship of buying and selling properties and due to the lack of proper understanding, some make mistakes in their property purchases. Therefore, the logo reminds him to go out and give such people the guidance they need to achieve their property dreams, with the 13 years of experience under his belt.

A client-centric service goes a long way

SINGJIA believes in putting their client’s interests first. They shared a case study where a client was looking to upgrade to a condominium but had to also balance their own family need and having enough space for their seven kids! Other agents would have recommended that the client purchase a new launch property, but they helped the client secure a 3-bedroom flat, before eventually moving up the property ladder to a mansion. For SINGJIA, it is important that decisions are made with a healthy mix of emotions and logic, and they help their clients to lead confidently with both. Their sincerity allows them to adapt sensitively to the needs of their clients.

SINGJIA also shared another case where they helped a family to liquidate their property for financial reasons and got them the additional help they needed, as opposed to having the bank repossess their property. Apart from meeting their client’s needs, they also provide property wealth planning services for investors, providing them a roadmap for multiplying their wealth all the way up until their retirement. SINGJIA also provides monthly webinars for their clients to update them on market sentiments, and one-on-one consultations for those who want a more in-depth analysis.

Being the Million Dollar Team, and with their strong fundamentals, Dave, Kevin and Sherry are beginning to grow their team to include other like-minded agents who believe in adding value to their customers, and conducting their business in a client-centric manner. But ultimately to SINGJIA, their greatest achievement continues to be all the families that they have helped to find a home, and being invited to their new homes to celebrate these milestones in their lives. For SINGJIA, it’s not about the glamour of being a consultant in the real estate industry, but about bringing back that human touch to these moments that are often stressful for anyone embarking on their journey towards their dream homes.

Words of wisdom for younger agents

Younger agents will be pleased to know that we have three pieces of advice from each of SINGJIA’s founders.

Kevin: “Serve with heart and integrity. This is especially important in a people-centric business, because that will bring you far”.

Dave: “When it is time to work, work hard. When it is time to enjoy time with your family, play hard as well. Give it your all so that you look back with no regrets”.

Sherry: “Serve people wholeheartedly and fervently from the heart”.
