Although the floor plan marks out three bedrooms, the study is big enough for you to convert into an extra bedroom or a playroom for a growing family. Due to the flat’s fan-shaped layout, you can expect the living room to be quite narrow and the kitchen to be small.
If you are one to cook up a feast regularly, you might want to consider removing the study room for an extended kitchen area instead.
The nearest MRT station for this area is Sembawang (North-South Line) which is about 12 minutes away by foot.

3. Round and Circular: HDB Floor Plans in Ang Mo Kio
Ang Mo Kio Avenue 2, Block 259
Did you know that this oddly-shaped block in Ang Mo Kio is the first ever circular HDB block built in Singapore? The block, which was completed in 1981, was intended to be the hallmark structure that would mark the then-new Ang Mo Kio Town.
Those living on the higher floors of Clover @ Kebun Baru enjoy a fantastic view overlooking Bishan Park and Kallang River. The rooms are spacious and you can comfortably fit a queen-sized bed in the larger bedroom.

Renovating a Home with an Unusual HDB Floor Plan
HDB flat layouts have changed over the years and which is better – regular- or odd-shaped – will depend on your personal preference.
If you decide to go for a home with an unusual layout, here are some tips to take note of when decorating and renovating your home:
- You may have to add or remove walls depending on the type of space you’re going for
- For smaller bedrooms, it’s always best to declutter regularly! You wouldn’t want your room to look messy while dealing with an unusual layout. To reduce clutter, make the most of your storage options.
