Desmond Tan got hitched and wants to have a big family. Here are big houses he can consider.

Mediacorp actor Desmond Tan recently married his longtime girlfriend at a ceremony in France. And he’s said that he wants to have a big family, with ideally three kids. Currently, he’s already a pawrent to two dogs Hoshi and Udon.

So we at 99.co, being a property portal, we thought we’d give him a few suggestions on the houses he can consider, if he’s looking for one.

We did a quick search and found that Desmond’s been living at a Pasir Panjang condo due to its proximity to Mediacorp (you can get a glimpse of his house in this interview). In an interview a few years ago, he also revealed that the dream is to have a landed property with a garden for his dogs to run around.

With that, we used 99.co‘s search filter to narrow down to three landed properties with at least four bedrooms that are located pretty close to Mediacorp.

4 bed house at Chelsea Village

Price: S$6,000,000

Floor area (built-up): 3,702 sq ft

This corner terrace house at Pasir Panjang is just an eight-minute drive to Mediacorp, which we reckon is something Desmond will consider for his new home.

But what we think he’d like more about this house is that it comes with a garden — perfect for his dogs to run around! On top of that, there’s Jambol Place Park within walking distance, and Kent Ridge Park a short drive away.

4 bed house at Hong Leong Garden

Price: S$4,200,000

Floor area (built-up): 2,900 sq ft

Price psf: S$2,119.07

Another terrace house Desmond can consider is this house at West Coast Terrace. It comes with a backyard where his dogs can run around too.

It’s located in Clementi, so it takes around a 13-minute drive to Mediacorp. Still pretty close, we think. But the good thing about living in the area is the number of schools in the vicinity — good to have for when he has kids. This includes the popular Nan Hua Primary, Nan Hua High School, Singapore Polytechnic and NUS.

6 bed house at Shamah Terrace

Price: S$5,000,000

Floor area (built-up): 3,500 sq ft

Price psf: S$1,369.49

This terrace house at Upper Bukit Timah is around a 15-minute drive to Mediacorp. So among the three options here, it’s the furthest from the media hub in Buona Vista.

But we think Desmond will want to check this one out as well, since it comes with a wide garden for his dogs.

Plus, the neighbourhood is pretty tranquil (which we noted is what drew him to the Pasir Panjang area) given its proximity to Bukit Batok Nature Park and Bukit Timah Nature Reserve.
