CanningHill Piers, a 696-unit joint residential development by CapitaLand and City Developments Limited (CDL), is set to launch in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Located between Fort Canning Hill and Singapore River in District 6, the development will have two residential towers, one of which will become the tallest residential development along the Singapore River at 180 m (48 storeys). The other 24-storey tower will overlook Fort Canning and stands at 100 m.

The development will offer one- to five-bedroom apartments, Sky Suites and a penthouse unit, with sizes ranging from 410 sq ft to 8,950 sq ft.

The developers revealed that the two residential towers would be linked by a sky bridge on Level 24, which also houses various lifestyle facilities such as infinity lap pool, sky gym, flexi lounge, function room and sky gourmet, offering unobstructed views of Singapore River, Fort Canning Hill, Marina Bay and the Central Business District (CBD).

More amenities can also be found at Level 3, including an outdoor jogging track, adventure-themed children’s play area and a bouldering wall.

The residence will form part of an integrated development that also includes a commercial component with retail and F&B outlets, a hotel that will operate under the Moxy brand by Marriott International, and a serviced residence with a hotel licence operated under the Somerset brand.

Set for completion in 2025, CanningHill Piers is designed by Danish architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) led by Bjarke Ingels, who is behind developments such as Via 57 West in New York and 8 House in Copenhagen.

The development will be directly linked to Fort Canning MRT station on the Downtown Line and near Clarke Quay MRT station on the North East Line. It will also be right beside F&B and lifestyle destination Clarke Quay.
