Jui Residences, a 117-unit residential project by Selangor Dredging Bhd (SDB), has been sold out since its soft launch in September 2018, reported the New Straits Times (NST).

Teh Lip Kim, Managing Director of SDB, attributed the strong interest for the project to its selling price, which stands at about $1,600 per sq ft (psf) to around $2,000 psf.

Developed by SDB’s subsidiary Tiara Land, the 18-storey L-shaped development is adjacent to the Kallang River and is near two MRT stations – namely, Potong Pasir and Boon Keng.

It is also situated within the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s (URA) earmarked growth districts of Bidadari as well as Kampong Bahru areas.

Units at Jui Residences have a built-up area of between 431 sq ft and 1,001 sq ft. Most of them enjoy unobstructed views of the Boon Keng and Kallang area.

Meanwhile, at the foreground of the development is the former National Aerated Water (NAW) building, where soft drinks such as RC Cola, Kickapoo Joy Juice and Sinalco used to be bottled.

Teh revealed that SDB is working closely with the URA to preserve one of the country’s landmarks, allowing future generations to witness one of the last remnants of the Kallang River’s industrial past.

The development’s exterior showcase art deco elements that are apparent through the arched detailing on the balconies, vertical flutes on the façade and wide inset curves at the podium.

The Sky Terrace at Level 5 will feature brightly coloured artworks that sculptor Dr. Colin K. Okashimo specially crafted.

SDB presently has two other projects in Singapore that are under construction – One Draycott, which is located at the Ardmore Draycott residential enclave as well as Myra in Potong Pasir.
