Just like how we’re seeing records getting broken at the Olympics this month, we’re seeing our very own million-dollar HDB flat price record getting broken again. Within a month of the record-breaking S$1.268M deal for an HDB terrace house at Whampoa, we’re seeing a new record.
This time, it’s for a 5-room DBSS HDB flat at Natura Loft in Bishan, sold for a whopping S$1.295M! At 1,292 sq ft, this translates to S$1,002.32 psf. The DBSS project was completed in 2011, so it has 89 years of remaining lease.
According to Elson Wang, ERA Associate Division Director, who brokered the deal, the owner sold it as they wanted to upgrade their property. Located at Bishan Street 24 with an initial asking price of S$1.38 million, the listing had attracted high interest despite the pandemic restrictions.
In less than a month, five groups of interested buyers had viewed the unit. The buyer loved the unit and put out an offer on 5 July, and eventually secured it at S$1.295 million.
