Setting up the utilities in your home – whether a new home or rental unit – is one of the first steps to take when moving in. While setting up your Singapore Power Services (SP Services) account may seem complicated and tedious, it really isn’t. In fact, it’ll only take you a few minutes to fill up the online form, and one to three days to process your application.
Your SP Utilities account tracks all three basic utilities (water, electricity and gas), so you won’t need to apply separately with Public Utilities Board (PUB) Singapore or City Gas. If, after setting up your SP Utilities account, you want to switch to a private electricity retailer, you will, however, have to sign up again separately.
This article will go through a handy step-by-step guide to get you started with SP Services online.
