Huttons Group has appointed Yeo Chin Hao as its new Legal Counsel and Shaun Tan as Head of Training and Special Projects.
Aside from leading Huttons in all legal aspects, Yeo will also provide consultation to improve the professionalism and level of customer service of associates. He will also contribute to the company’s in-house knowledge management system.
Previously serving as legal counsel of fashion retailer F J Benjamin, Yeo holds a Bachelor of Laws from the National University of Singapore, and is called to the Singapore Bar.
Mark Yip, Chief Executive Officer of Huttons Asia, noted that Yeo “is very experienced in real estate and commercial law”.
“He has a long relationship with Huttons as he had conducted training sessions for our associates in his practice. Furthermore, many associates would call him when they needed prompt advice,” he said.
Tan, on the other hand, will spearhead companywide training while championing new initiatives to empower Huttons associates.
He will be joining Huttons from privately held developer Far East Organization where he “implemented training roadmaps for sales personnel, conducted trainings and developed a knowledge management repository across various departments”.
Tan holds a Bachelor of Business Communications from the University of Queensland as well as an MBA from the University of Wales.
Yip said Tan’s varied skillsets and real estate background will help the agency “find a new edge in the ever-changing real estate environment”.
“We are committed to delivering training solutions and value to our associates. Chin Hao and Shaun are key additions to our management team and will no doubt strengthen us. We look forward to working closely with them both,” he added.
