The 169 units of Community Care Apartments at Harmony Village @ Bukit Batok received 319 applicants as of 5pm on Friday (5 February), just a day after the launch.

Competition for Build-to-Order (BTO) flats within the mature estates of Toa Payoh (Bidadari) and Kallang/Whampoa were stiff with all the units oversubscribed just a day after launch.

Singapore’s first assisted living flats in Bukit Batok have also been oversubscribed, with the 169 units of Community Care Apartments at Harmony Village @ Bukit Batok receiving 319 applicants as of 5pm on Friday (5 February), reported The Straits Times (ST).

The 32 sq m flats are offered only to seniors aged 65 and above. Featuring senior friendly fittings such as wheelchair-accessible bathroom and grab bars, the flats also come with mandatory service package which include basic health checks, 24-hour emergency monitoring and response, simple home fixes as well as activities at the development’s communal spaces.

On Thursday (4 February), the HDB launched a total of 3,740 BTO flats across seven housing projects for sale.

The five-room flats in Alkaff Breeze and ParkEdge @ Bidadari housing projects emerged as the most in demand, with over three applicants vying for each of the 323 flats.

Excluding grants, these flats are priced from $611,000, making them the most expensive in the launch, noted ST.

The 797 units of four-room flats within all three of Bidadari’s housing projects – Bartley GreenRise, Alkaff Breeze and ParkEdge @ Bidadari – received over one applicant each.

The three-room flats in Bartley GreenRise also received 141 applicants for each of the 96 units, or over one applicant per unit.

McNair Heights in Kallang/Whampoa also emerged as the most popular project in the launch, with the 386 four-room units attracting more than two applicants each.

The project’s three-room units witnessed less demand albeit still oversubscribed, with the 104 units getting 127 applicants.

McNair Heights’ three-room flats were priced from $359,000, while the four-room flats from $532,000. The flats are set to be completed by Q2 2026.

Buyers who wish to live within the non-mature estates of Tengah and Bukit Batok face a better luck of securing a unit as application rates were relatively low, said ST.

Applications for the flats closes on Wednesday (10 February), with the flats to be allocated via balloting.
