The new appointments are motivated by the company’s believe in South-east Asia “as a fast-growing region with a robust real estate sector”.
JLL has named new country heads for Singapore and Thailand, in a bid to strengthen the company’s capabilities and align with its regional growth ambitions.
A company spokesperson told The Business Times (BT) that Chris Archibold has been promoted as Singapore Country Head, while Michael Glancy is named as Thailand Country Head.
Archibold will be taking over the post from Chris Fossik, who continues to serve as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for South-east Asia.
Glancy, on the other hand, succeeds Suphin Mechuchep, who is appointed as Chairperson for Thailand.

The spokesperson noted that the new appointments take effect from January this year.
Archibold, Glancy and Mechuchep will report to Fossick.
As Singapore’s country head, Archibold will drive the sales strategy and business development in Singapore by connecting regional and local business functions, while leading the markets advisory team.
He has worked with JLL Singapore for 17 years, serving most recently as head of leasing.
Similarly, Glancy will be responsible for managing Thailand’s business growth. He worked at JLL Hong Kong for 10 years before moving to Bangkok in February last year, heading Thailand’s transaction business.

He will closely work with local and regional business lines to generate new business opportunities and leads.
As Thailand’s new chairperson, Mechuchep will drive key business priorities as well as nurture the strong client networks she built during her 30-year career at JLL.
“South-east Asia is a fast-growing region with a robust real estate sector, and we want to ensure that we stay ahead of the curve while continuing to deliver excellent services for our clients,” stated Fossick as quoted by BT.
“With a strong management structure leading our team in the region, we’ll be well-placed to help our clients navigate the evolving future of the workplace amidst this time of economic uncertainty.”
