Project Focus: Frasers Tower by Frasers Property Singapore

(This is a special feature by Frasers Property Singapore).

The age-old real estate mantra of location, location, location certainly rings true when it comes to Frasers Tower. Situated on prestigious Cecil Street in the thick of Singapore’s central business district, the 38-storey office tower, complemented by a three-floor retail podium, is currently one of District 1’s most in-demand Grade-A commercial addresses.

Access is obviously one of Fraser Tower’s major selling points. It is directly connected to Tanjong Pagar MRT station, served by the Downtown Line, while Raffles Place MRT station interchange is also within walking distance. For those who enjoy combining a workout with their commute, the tower facilitates cyclists with 130 bicycle parking lots and associated lockers, changing rooms and showers.

Designed by global practice DP Architects, the facade at Frasers Tower is inspired by the adjacent park and immediate urban area. Biophilic design techniques seamlessly extend the lush greenery up to the exterior retail deck terracing and across to the office sky deck, unifying the segments. Outdoor green enclaves also provide opportunities for respite in a park setting beyond the office walls. Moreover, the office tower has been designed in a contextual prism shape to improve integration with the surrounding buildings and introduce a tapering effect allowing for various vantage points.

“A thoroughly modern interpretation of today’s office environment potential, 38- storey Frasers Tower by Frasers Property Singapore offers column-free, flexible and scalable spaces with inter-floor connectivity: soaring up from the 11-metre-high lobby ceiling with three levels of gardens, water features, distinct community zones, and MRT connectivity,” the judging panel of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Singapore) noted.

The 235-metre high building was also recently awarded the green mark platinum by the Singapore Building and Construction Authority for the widespread implementation of environmentally sustainable practices. These include retaining the same area of green space as the original site, recycling rainwater to irrigate the building’s flora, and introduction of three-metre floor-to-ceiling double-glazed glass windows that maximise the natural light and reduce energy usage.
