Despite buyers facing website glitches, the Housing and Development Board’s (HDB) bigger Build-to-Order (BTO) flats in Bishan and Toa Payoh (Bidadari) were still heavily oversubscribed just a day into the one-week sales exercise, reported The Straits Times.
HDB’s website faced various issues following the launch of over 5,700 BTO flats and 5,220 Sale and Balance flats (SBF) on Tuesday (17 November).
Taking to Facebook their complaints, affected buyers said they were unable to pay the $10 administrative fee or were unsure if their payment got through.
In a Facebook post at noon on Wednesday, the HDB said the issues had been resolved, with the e-services available on its website.

Despite the website issues, the bigger flats in Bishan and Toa Payoh still managed to be oversubscribed.
In fact, the five-room flats at Toa Payoh’s Bartley Beacon project received more than five applicants for each of the 144 units offered as at 5pm on Wednesday.
Excluding grants, prices for such flats start from $627,000 – making them the priciest units in this launch.
And while the 910 four-room and 184 three-room flats offered in Bartley Beacon and Parkview @ Bidadari, the other BTO housing project in Toa Payoh, were not oversubscribed by Wednesday evening, the units are expected to receive more demand in the coming days, reported The Straits Times.
Bishan Ridges emerged as the next most popular project, with about two applicants jostling for each of the available units. The project’s 1,222 four-room flats and 124 three-room flats received 2,606 and 233 applications, respectively.

Buyers in this project will have to wait the longest since Bishan Ridges is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2026.
Over in Tampines, the 244 five-room flats and 360 four-room flats at Tampines GreenEmerald project were also oversubscribed, receiving 356 and 534 applications, respectively.
The two housing projects in Tengah – Garden Court @ Tengah and Garden Terrace @ Tengah – emerged as the least popular with just around the same number of applications received as the units offered for five-room and four-room types.
Tengah’s 218 three-room flats received only 98 applications.
Buyers of Tengah flats will have to wait the shortest as the units are expected to be ready by the first quarter of 2024.
Applications for the flats are set to end on 23 November, with the flats allocated via balloting.
